Spettacolo SELF HELP
Inaugurazione del nostro spettacolo itinerante, fatta di testi e immagini, manipolazioni di libri e musica. Due personaggi naufragati su un'isola incrociano figure tratte dall'opera da La Tempesta di Shakespeare ed i loro stessi sogni da svegli. La rappresentazione rispecchia la situazione degli ultimi tre anni lanciando uno sguardo obliquo e surrealista ai pro e ai contro dell’industria e della cultura dell'auto-aiuto. Fine mostra Sab 20 maggio ore 16.
The opening of our traveling show in Monza, made up of texts and images, book hacks and music. Two characters shipwrecked on an island meet figures from Shakespeare's The Tempest and their own waking dreams. The representation reflects the situation of the last three years by taking an oblique and surrealist look at the pros and cons of the self-help industry and culture. Exhibition closes Sat 20 May 16:00.
Self Help! Closing Event
Join us for an informal afternoon of readings from Self Help I(s)land and encounters with artists and musicians, highlighting conversations and discoveries from a month at Turner House. Hosted by Chris Glynn and Luca Paci, with guests (tbc). Free un-ticketed event.
PEN Cymru Poetry event
Menna Elfyn will be joined by Susie Wild, Lesley James and local poets Philip Gross, Mab Jones and Luca Paci to explore self-help, islands, and collaboration. Menna Elfyn is an award-winning poet and playwright from Wales who writes in Welsh and whose work has been translated into over eighteen languages. She is also the chair of PEN Cymru. PEN promotes literature and defends freedom of expression across the globe.

Collage Poetry Workshop
A collage poetry workshop at Turner House in which you can work with others or independently, gathering texts and images from various printed sources and arranging them to make visual poems. It is an intuitive and playful process, based on Surrealist techniques, and guided by illustrator Chris Glynn & poet Luca Paci.
